Integrating Qualified with Oracle Eloqua empowers your revenue team with real-time insights into your website visitors. The integration pulls contact information directly into the Qualified Visitor 360, allowing you to identify known contacts on your site, create and update records in Eloqua, and give your team the context they need to have more intelligent, impactful conversations.
This guide will walk you through the connection and configuration process.
Prerequisite: Preparing Your Integration User
Before you begin, it's crucial to ensure the Eloqua user account you'll use for the connection has the correct permissions. Please work with your Eloqua administrator to verify the following:
-
The user has permission to:
-
Read and write to contacts.
-
Read visitors and contact fields.
-
Write to forms and form data.
-
The user is part of the Advanced Users - Marketing security group.
-
Your Eloqua instance has first-party cookie support enabled. This is required for Qualified to identify known Eloqua contacts on your website.
Note on Contact-Level Security
Some Eloqua instances use contact-level security to restrict data access based on user roles (e.g., by region). Please ensure the user account for this integration has access to all contact data you wish to be visible in Qualified.
Step 1: Connect Your Eloqua Account
Once you've confirmed the prerequisites, you can establish the connection.
-
In Qualified, navigate to Settings → Integrations → Eloqua → Connection.
-
Click Connect to Eloqua.
-
An Eloqua pop-up window will appear. Follow the prompts to sign in and authorize the connection:
-
Click Login within the pop-up.
-
Enter your Eloqua Company Name exactly as it appears in your Eloqua org.
-
Enter the email and password for your designated Eloqua integration user.
-
Click Sign In.
-
Click Sign In again to approve access for Qualified.
-
Click Accept on the final confirmation screen.
With the connection live, you can now review your integration settings.
How Visitor Identification Works
The primary benefit of this integration is identifying known Eloqua contacts in real-time. This works by reading the Eloqua tracking cookie that is already present in your contact's browser. When a visitor with this cookie lands on your website, Qualified instantly reads it and surfaces their contact data, enabling personalized engagement from the very first page view. This functionality relies on the first-party cookie support mentioned in the prerequisites.
-
Default Push Destination: Set Eloqua as your default destination to ensure that when reps "pounce" on anonymous visitors, they can effortlessly create new or update existing contacts in Eloqua.
-
Eloqua Fields: When you add or change contact fields in Eloqua, click the Update fields button here to sync those changes into Qualified, making them available in the Visitor 360.
