Data 360 is Salesforce's real-time customer data platform, recently renamed from Data Cloud (you may still see "Data Cloud" as the menu label inside Salesforce Setup). It unifies customer data from sources like your website, external data lakes, and legacy systems into a single customer profile made up of Data Model Objects, or DMOs. Qualified's Data 360 integration reads person and lead data out of Data 360 into Qualified, and writes your conversation, meeting, and email engagement data back into it.

Before you begin

Setting up this integration involves two separate admin tasks: your Salesforce admin configures Data 360 inside Salesforce, and a Qualified admin connects Data 360 from inside Qualified. Your organization's existing Salesforce connection in Qualified must already be set up before you can connect Data 360.

Note: To confirm whether Data 360 is available for your organization, contact your Qualified Success Architect (QSA).

Because Data 360 itself is a Salesforce platform, most of the underlying configuration and concepts, including DMOs, are documented by Salesforce directly. Before you start, it's worth reviewing Salesforce's guide to Data Model Objects.

Step 1: Set up Data 360 in Salesforce

This part is completed by your Salesforce admin, inside your Salesforce org.

  1. Install the Qualified Data 360 unmanaged package in your Salesforce org.
  2. Confirm the package installed successfully. It appears under Installed packages in Salesforce Setup, along with a Qualified data kit under Data Kits.
  3. In Salesforce Setup, go to Data Cloud → External Integrations → Ingestion API.
  4. Select New to create a new Ingestion API connector, name it Qualified, and save.
  5. Go to Data Cloud → Feature Management → Developer Tools → Data Kits.
  6. Open the Qualified data kit, select Data Kit Deploy, choose the Qualified ingestion API source you just created, and select Deploy.
  7. Wait a few minutes for the deploy to finish. When it completes, new related objects appear in Data Cloud, confirming the setup worked.

The data kit works like an instruction sheet, telling Data 360 how to translate Qualified's data into DMOs it already understands. The ingestion API source is where that data lands before Data 360 files it into place.

For help configuring Data 360/ Data Cloud itself in your Salesforce org, refer to Salesforce's own Data 360/ Data Cloud documentation.

Step 2: Connect Data 360 in Qualified

  1. In Qualified, go to Settings → Salesforce.
  2. Scroll to the Data 360 section at the bottom of the page.
  3. Select Connect and log in using the same Salesforce user connected to your organization's core Salesforce integration.

Important: Use your organization's Salesforce integration user, not an individual login. Connecting with an individual user account causes the connection to fail.

  1. Approve the additional Data Cloud scopes shown in the OAuth prompt.
  2. Once connected, Data 360 fields become available anywhere Qualified surfaces external data, including Fields and Segments.

What data syncs with Data 360

Qualified reads person and lead data from Data 360's Individual DMO. This data becomes available for use in Fields and Segments.

Qualified writes the following engagement data back to Data 360:

  • Conversations sync to the Conversation DMO.
  • Messages within a conversation sync to the ConversationEntry DMO.
  • Email opens, clicks, and replies sync to the EmailEngagement DMO.
  • Calendar meetings sync to the CalendarEvent DMO.

Note: Qualified reads from and writes to only the DMOs listed above. It doesn't read or write any other Data 360 objects.

Troubleshooting

If you run into an issue with the Data 360 integration, contact your Qualified Success Architect (QSA) for help.
